![]() ![]() Stones drop out of necklaces, mobiles arrive with dead batteries, cloth picks up odours from smoking deliverymen. So if he attempted to 'fix" the problem, contact Customer Support for advice on your next action. The buyer is required to return the item in the condition in which it was delivered. What if the item is returned with the damage they clearly caused? If it is a new item, it is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, but unless you are the verified retailer, you would have to go for the warranty, not your buyer. If it is a used item, it could fail after delivery, or even during transit. Sold the item on August 19th, and they just now requested a return yesterday(August 28thīy my count that's nine days including a weekend, eight if you got it in the mail the next day rather than the same day. Was just hoping maybe it was a misunderstanding, and they might get the product to work and would not return it. I could send a replacement, but do not have one. I could even help with that, but seems like this buyer is not willing to communicate. If perhaps, a magnet is actually missing in that case, those can easily be replaced for a very low cost if not mistaken. Sure enough, no response so far! Also, they're saying missing magnets on the tracks, but I've already confirmed(by asking other sellers who are selling the exact item) that there are only supposed to be magnets on the end pieces. I am concerned they are confused about something, and was hoping they'd respond and maybe I could help. I noted it does not come with batteries in the listing. You need a screw driver also to open the bottom up. I know good and well that there is NO way it does not work with the batteries. I feel a little more at ease now, that I will just simply accept the return soon, pay for the label, and then wait until item is received back and see what is going on. I already have guaranteed by a certain date on my items though. Well, I don' t offer FREE returns, and I'm not Amazon, even though Ebay wishes I was. Ebay clearly does not care one bit about sellers. One minute seems something sets off a large amount of sales and then its like a light switch is flipped off. I honestly should just delete my account, especially considering the way sales are lately, but really need the extra money. It still angers me that Ebay likely will believe, and favor a person with absolutely no reputation, or feedback on here and that can't even have the decency to properly communicate! I actually was concerned maybe the buyer did not know the item does not come with batteries, or that they don't realize there is a particular switch to turn the item on. Of course, maybe that wouldn't work since they are already saying it doesn't function properly or missing parts! SMH. If I'm not mistaken, if the item is returned damaged, or I know I didn't send it that way, perhaps I can deduct a certain percentage from the refund. ![]() Don't know why I didn't see it before, but it does help explain some concerns I had. ![]() Well, after I wrote this thread, I did notice Ebay offered me a section to read over regarding returns. While it may certainly be the truth, it seems some people on here thoroughly enjoy further upsetting people LOL. It also angers me that I'm dealing with a person with no feedback, no reputation, and not very communicative at all. I actually have been with Ebay for quite some time, but because I hardly ever deal with this, I'm a bit confused. What if the item is returned with the damage they clearly caused? So many concerns here. ![]() Is there is any way I could at least get out of paying return shipping, and do I have to refund the original shipping fees? What do you do if you believe a buyer is not being truthful about the item being defective, but the return is for that reason? This is going to cost me about $90 if I have to pay all that shipping. It is saying I have to pay return shipping too. What do I do? So far, I did sent a few messages through the return to simply clarify the issues before accepting the return(even if it doesn't actually matter), but so far they are not responding at all. I have 5 star ratings for item as described, for one thing. The issue is, I do not see how this is possible, as the item worked perfectly fine. The buyer is claiming the item does not work with batteries, and that its missing parts. Also, the fact that this buyer is a new member since last November 2018, but actually at the moment is showing 0% feedback. I honestly would think if something was wrong with an item, a person would likely let you know within a few days of receiving the item. I sold the item on August 19th, and they just now requested a return yesterday(August 28th). I have a 14 day money back, buyer pays return shipping. I understand this does happen all the time, and yes you do have to accept returns. I rarely EVER have any returns or actually never had a buyer claim an item is not working properly, or missing parts. ![]()
